POLS 4904 - Senator Bennett Seminar

Students are required to register for HNKLY/POLS credit in order to participate in the seminar. The Hinckley Institute seeks to provide students with substantive experiences that will provide opportunities for learning and growth in the areas of government, politics, and current affairs. This particular symposium is a mentor-research opportunity with the esteemed Senator Robert F. Bennett. Hinckley interns are expected to attend each of Senator Bennett's eight lectures, stay up with required readings, and complete each corresponding research paper on time in order to receive credit for the internship. Student research will be rigorous as it will ultimately contribute to a published book. Due to the unique nature of the internship, the required readings as well as the research papers' content and length will be defined by Senator Bennett during each lecture. The quality of the papers coupled with student involvement in the lectures will determine the overall experience and grade.
