Description
This course provides students of all majors with an understanding of both theory and practical applications of concepts surrounding sustainable tourism development. Through on site visitations and selected texts and readings, students will explore social, cultural, and environmental impacts of tourism and planning issues. Case studies from the South Pacific/South America and other parts of the world will be drawn upon in order to gain a global understanding issues and practical applications of solutions. This is an International Study Abroad program and will offered every summer, alternating between 2-3 countries.
