Description
Utah offers an array of excellent rivers for fly fishing. This class is a chance to get out and try the sport in a beautiful high mountain setting. Designed for the novice, this basic hands-on course explores the art and mechanics of fly fishing, including equipment, safety, knots, entomology, and, of course, casting. We will learn some basics in the classroom then travel to a local river for the day to test our new skills. You are responsible for providing your rod and reel (can be rented at local fly shops), fishing license, sack lunch, sunglasses (essential for eye protection), and either waders and boots or clothes and shoes that can get wet. A selection of flies and other tackle will be provided for our river day. This class is limited to 10.
