Description
Provides an in depth study of pathophysiological mechanisms that cause disease or altered physiologic states encountered in acute and critical practice settings. Emphasis is placed on the molecular, cellular, and systemic basis of multiple health problems, complex disease states, and severe trauma. This course also integrates the neural, hormonal, genetic, immune, and inflammatory response to illness and trauma.
