Description
This clerkship will provide students with an opportunity to build on and refine their skills in information retrieval, history taking, literature evaluation and written and oral communication. The primary purpose of this rotation is to improve student skills in the evaluation, interpretation, communication, and application of real-world pharmacotherapy utilization, clinical outcomes, epidemiology, and economic data in clinical and management practice settings. Students will improve their skills in communicating to health care professionals, verbally and in writing, information related to evidence of potential drug-therapy problems, best practice guidelines, evidence for best practices, expected pharmacotherapy treatment outcomes, and pharmacoeconomic information, and enhance their skills in appropriate use and interpretation of literature.
