Description
Play a series of games recreating the decisive battles during the American Civil War (1861-65) using an introductory war game called "Battle Cry." Battle Cry is an easy-to-learn board game in which players use command cards to activate infantry, cavalry and artillery for movement and combat. Dice are used to resolve combat, and the game includes lots of cool plastic figures set up on a modular board with variable terrain. This is an introductory-level game suitable for beginning gamers who are also interested in history. Each day in the course will feature a different battle from this critical moment in America. Students will also learn about the real historical events surrounding each battle.
