YEHS 600 - College Immersion Experience Suite

Get a jump on your college career with our College Experience suite this summer! In just a few short weeks, explore some of the most exciting college programs at the University of Utah. Explore the concepts of 3D modeling with faculty and students from the Entertainment Arts and Engineering program in EAE 3D Modeling Studio 1. Using your own Wacom tablet and some of the most advanced software in the industry, you'll be guided through the steps necessary to design and produce high-caliber work, culminating in the creation of a 3D human model. After you learn how to model a human character, learn how to create a state-of-the-art environment. Discover Architecture and Planning as you study existing buildings, visit local firms, and create your own model. Learn the design processes and ecological concepts that shape our cities as you work with faculty and grad students from the College of Architecture + Planning. Then, join the Lassonde Institute for Innovation Week: Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset, where you'll create, prototype, and pitch your own innovative product or solution. Visit research and innovation labs on campus and meet with student and faculty innovators. Use ideas or skills from 3D modeling or Architecture and Planning, or roll with something totally new: the choice is yours! Finally, learn how to write successful college essays for these fields or maybe another major in Crafting College Essays. Study different genres of writing and how to write more confidently and creatively. Who knows, maybe you'll even write that perfect college admissions essay to one of the departments you visited while immersing yourself in this unique college experience!
