Description
Join the UofU's Entertainment Arts and Engineering Program this summer for a college-level course customized for high school students and condensed into three weeks. In the first of this three-week series, explore the concepts of 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and rendering, using some of the most advanced software in the industry such as Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop. Visit research labs in the School of Computing and take a fieldtrip to a local game and modeling studio. Participate in group activities and work alone on your own Wacom tablet as you are guided through the steps necessary to design and produce high-caliber work, culminating in the creation of a 3D human model. Students must take this class in order to take the 2nd and/or 3rd weeks (YETEC 129 and 130).
