ECS 6605 - Race, Gender, and the Curriculum

This course takes up some of the practical challenges connected with schooling for social change. Drawing on scholarly materials that revisit assumptions about core knowledge, the course engages students in explorations of curriculum that multiply possibility, particularly with regard to race and gender. The emphasis will be on practical activities that teachers can undertake alone or together.
