Description
It is apple harvesting season and time to learn how to turn this versatile fruit into an 'adult beverage' to be enjoyed year round – Hard Cider! You will learn techniques for crushing and pressing of apples, how to make higher or lower alcohol versions, using and maintaining equipment, how to select the right apples, different types of cider and what can go wrong in the process (you get apple cider vinegar instead). You’ll also gain insight into the history of Hard Cider production, and best of all – leave with your own gallon of unfermented cider and fermentation equipment. This class requires 48-hour advance registration.
