Description
Couples and singles will be introduced to social dancing, an excellent form of exercise that is also intellectually stimulating and fun. Studies prove that dancing prevents physical and mental decline as we age and, in fact, improves mental acuity and physical fitness levels. Come alone or recruit a friend to join you in learning a variety of ballroom dances, swing, country dances, line dances and more. You will learn proper technique and styling, leading and following skills, and develop the musical knowledge needed to execute and perform the dances on your own. Ongoing participation in this course will increase the technique and skill level of the students and broaden their knowledge and variety of dances. Rotating dance partners will enhance learning.
