The remainder of the semester will be devoted to putting the certification to work engaging in tax preparation and directing clients to other sources of help. Students can choose from a long list of VITA (volunteer income tax assistance) program sites to volunteer at in SLC, Davis, Utah, and Wasatch counties. 55 hours at the VITA site will be required.
