Attendance at first class meeting is mandatory. Drops not possible after the 2nd day following this meeting. Class meets Jan 14th only. Field trip Jan 30th and 31st. No camping. Practical skills for travel over mountain snow, avalanche causes, snow stability, decision making, terrain selection, and companion rescue. Students will earn a certificate of completion.
