Description
The Translational/Clinical Research in Progress (RIP) class is designed to foster, in an informal setting, the sharing of ideas and techniques currently in practice in actual research projects conducted by students and faculty in the Department. The RIPs are especially useful as a means to understand real-world challenges faced by Translational/Clinical Research Informatics researchers. All first- and second-year graduate students in the Department are required to take at least one RIP a term (minimum of four total), and all second-year and beyond students are required to present in at least one RIP each academic year, RIP classes are evaluated as CR/NC.
