Description
This course is designed to introduce students to a variety of imaginative works that have retained their vital interest for centuries. The writers included range from Homer and Cervantes to James Joyce and J. M. Coetzee. Since this course will be organized around visitors who will discuss poems or narratives about which they are especially passionate and well-informed, it will also introduce students to kinds of questions that literacy scholarship addresses.
