Description
Wax resist dyeing on fabric is an ancient art form originating from Indonesia. Learn the fundamentals in this hands-on class using soy wax on both paper and fabric. We will learn about color and play with a variety of tools and techniques to create both decorative surfaces and wearable art. Students will work on two pieces simultaneously, and will leave with many completed projects and the knowledge to continue working in batik on their own. No previous experience required. Class is limited to 8.
