Description
Sangiovese is the most traditionally used grape variety in Chianti and other Tuscan wines, but gaining in popularity in California where it is a stand alone variety as well as a blending partner with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. It is high in acidity which makes it a perfect pairing for poultry, and tomato based sauces. You will taste six Sangiovese wines, both 100% varietal and some blends, and learn the story of how this grape changed European wine laws! Please bring a photo ID that indicates your age to class.
