Description
In the first half of this required lecture-format class, students will learn major theoretical approaches that inform today's social work practice. In the last weeks, students will learn the major approaches to social work practice with groups and families. Each weeks, students will learn how to apply the theories and approaches. Opportunities for discussion, viewing of real-client sessions through one-way mirrors, instruction through instructor modeling, and application role plays will be offered.
