Description
This course will examine the unique relationship that the original inhabitants held with the United States of America and other colonial powers. It will briefly cover important historic eras and events and explore how these continue to impact American Indian communities today. A section of the course will also focus on traditional cultural, political, economic, artistic expressions and community value-sets and how they led to misunderstanding and conflict with European settlers.
