Description
Continuation of HONOR 2600, Science & Storytelling Learning Community. How do we communicate through stories about our sensory experiences of the world? Through this course, students discover how the relationship between art and science manifests itself in individuals, in disciplines and in society. In addition, we'll explore questions at the interface between science and art and we'll consider the ways in which art and science offer us models of knowledge through which we see and understand the world. We'll learn about sensory systems and perception and how science and art help us understand how these systems work. We will look at the ways that the institution of knowledge, such as museums and schools, shape our understanding of the categories 'art' and 'science'.
