Description
How does aging affect memory? This course will examine what constitutes normal memory, how memory works, ways to protect and enhance memory, and how to effectively manage dementia. Experts from the University of Utah Center for Alzheimer's Care, Imaging, and Research (CACIR) will present common problems that occur with memory, the importance of family trees and genetics, and when to seek professional help. The course will wrap up with a look at twenty-first century brain science and dementing illnesses, including the latest in diagnostic approaches, treatment options, and current research.
