Description
This course critically explores policies, procedures, and formal and informal measures used to assess the language proficiencies and academic achievement of linguistically diverse students in U.S. public schools. Including in this are the areas of English and native language competence; program placement, progress, and exit; and classroom-based assessments, as well as other forms of alternative assessments. Meets Utah State Office of Education ESL Endorsement Standard IV on Assessment.
