Description
Utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology, students will learn about general medical conditions that may be seen in clinical practice. Students will be expected to refine their examination skills and didactic knowledge of general medical conditions to recognize signs and symptoms, and to appropriately manage these conditions, including return to participation guidelines, and to refer to a more advanced medical provider. The refinement of these skills requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics as this information will be used throughout the course and in clinical practice.
