Description
Meets with 5630. This course introduces the market structure of electric power systems, and the market agents including system operator, generating companies, and customers. The course describes the basic market concepts from micro-economics and then continues with introducing the tools and models for electricity market operation, including economic dispatch, optimal power flow, and unit commitment.
