Description
As other national institutions become mired in ideological stagnation, people and groups are turning to the courts for favorable policy decisions. Because of this, a primary factor in last year's presidential race was the potential for the winning candidate to appoint two new members to the U.S. Supreme Court. This course will look at the political history of the U.S. court system, the linkage between federal and state courts, and the structure of the courts.
