Description
The Utah State Government is known nationally for being well run and efficient, and that requires multiple agencies and expert advisors informing and serving the governor. The state government has many players working diligently behind the scenes, and this class will help us understand how the executive office works to make Utah one of the best run states in the Nation. The director of management and budget, Kristin Cox, will discuss how the governor oversees state agencies. As they are available, executive officers such as the state auditor or treasurer may speak, in addition to other directors of various state agencies, explaining their role in the executive office. These will include Human Resources, Environmental Quality, Public Safety, Corrections and Natural Resources.
