Description
In Honors 2105 students will learn by taking on roles in two games based on classic texts and historical events, as well as by doing some traditional coursework. One game, "The Threshold of Democracy Athens in 403 BCE." centers on important issues such as democracy, citizenship, and warfare and includes readings from Plato, Thucydides, and Zenophon. The second, "Confucianism and the Succession Crisis of the Wanli Emperor, 1587" introduces Confucian thought as applied to issues of governance during the Ming dynasty.
