Description
Introduction to various manufacturing processes (both traditional and non-traditional), with an emphasis on mechanical and thermal based manufacturing processes (material removal (machining), material forming (bulk deformation and sheet metal forming), casting, polymer manufacturing, composites manufacturing, welding, additive manufacturing, micro- and nano-manufacturing, and quality control). Importance of manufacturing economics and its relation to engineering/manufacturing framework.
