Description
This course as a whole provides an introduction to habilitation and rehabilitation of voice. The focus is a convergence of basic science and clinical practice. Across three weeks of course duration, the course will cover pathologies affecting voice, pharmaceutical effects on voice, behavioral vocometry (instrumented vocometry will be covered in a parallel instrumentation course), basic science foundations of voice therapy and an overview of widely used voice therapy programs and outcomes data. The course will incorporate both academic and practical materials.
