Description
The basic lawyering skills of interviewing, counseling, problem-solving and an introduction to negotiation. The class will be taught using videotaped demonstrations, role-playing exercises, students' videotaped performances, discussion, and reflective writing regarding actual practice experiences. This semester this class is being offered exclusively as an integrated Service Learning class approved by the Bennion Center. Accordingly, students must have concurrent lawyering experience during Fall Semester through the Civil or Criminal Clinic or working as a volunteers for an approved agency.
