OSHER 14 - Great Decisions

Join Great Decisions, a discussion group where sharing knowledge, ideas, and opinions will strengthen your understanding and relevance of timely international issues that are vital to U.S. foreign policy. Osher members will have access to in-depth topic resources: a Great Decisions Briefing Book, videos that provide context, and lectures by local experts who will expound on the topics and lead the class discussions. 2018's topics include: Pax Americana: The American Peace; Russia's Foreign Policy; China: The New Silk Road; Media and Foreign Policy; Turkey: A Partner in Crisis; Crossroads: America's Defense Strategy; South Africa: In the Shadow of Mandela; and Global Health: Preventing Pandemic. This course is offered in partnership with the Utah Council for Diplomacy, a local nonprofit affiliate of the World Affairs Council of America.
