Description
This course takes the foundations gained in PROED 113, Accounting and Budgeting Fundamentals and adds a focus on using financial statements to help make decisions. Students will gain experience in basic financial analysis that can be used to understand the business behind the numbers. Topics include financial ratios, cross-sectional analysis (balance sheet), time series analysis (P&L trends), as well as using financial statements to identify common accounting shenanigans used to hide potential issues.
