Description
Osher members are invited to attend six of these films and the Salt Lake Film Society's opening night reception for its June series "The Greatest Life Changing Documentaries". The Times of Harvey Milk will be shown after the opening reception. After "opening night" this class will meet weekly to watch and discuss the following documentaries Faces Places, Quiet Heroes, Sons of Perdition, Blackfish, and I Am Not Your Negro. A discussion, along with special guest filmmakers and professors, will follow screenings and will examine how documentary filmmaking has evolved in the increasingly complex digital medium. A complimentary Film Buff membership will be included with tuition ($60 value), which includes Red Carpet Club ticket price for evening screenings, special pricing at concessions, unlimited complimentary Tower Archive rentals, and purchasing benefits.
