Description
When Camp Floyd was established south of Salt Lake City in the fall of 1858, it was the largest army garrison in the country. Learn how the presence of a large federal military force impacted local politics and how the officers, enlisted men and their families lived. Historian Ephraim Dickson will talk about the history of Camp Floyd and highlight some of the new information learned from the various archaeological investigations at this important historic site. Coffee and light refreshments provided.
