Description
This Clinical Method curriculum is a four year longitudinal development series of courses required of all medical students. It emphasizes acquisition of core clinical skills and medical decision making capacity along the domains of: history taking, physical examination, clinical test selection and interpretation, procedure selection of performance, accessing/interpreting/applying medical literature, patient and inter/professional communication and documentation, clinical reasoning, health care system navigation, patient safety and quality improvement, and self-direction and self-assessment. A learning community model of core faculty mentors following students through their training is central to the education methods employed in the curriculum.
