This course is a guide for anyone who seeks to understand the elements of convening, building and maintaining effective, productive alliances that accelerate progress and achieve superior results in an age of polarization. We will explore the basis upon which partnerships, collaborations and alliances are formed and the essential elements that keep them working toward their stated goals focusing primarily on alliances that are creating change in health care.

MHA 6850 - 064 International Study Trip


For MHA students only. This is an international study opportunity for University of Utah Master of Healthcare Administration students. During the spring 2020 semester students will travel to New Zealand after attending five (5) in-class meetings. In-class meetings will include guest speakers from the organizations that will be included in the site visits. We will visit five (5) sites representing the various facets of New Zealand’s health system. MHA students will complete a comparative analysis of both NZ, and the US’s health systems and evaluate similar challenges in access to marginalized populations.
