Description
The purposes of this course are to generally advance students' understanding of the following: Curriculum theories in their historic contexts, Evaluate major curriculum theories in terms of implications for society, the learner, and subject matter, Explore issues of inclusion and exclusion of epistemological diversity in the context of changing political climates, Connecting theoretical and practical curriculum inquiry through classroom observation, Develop lesson plans based on a chosen theoretical perspective in social studies, science, or language arts, and Observe how curriculum plays out in the k-12 classroom.
