Description
Well along in his life, Ralph Waldo Emerson reflected, “Still the question, how shall I live?” If we choose to live consciously in this turbulent world, we return to haunting questions again and again. What truly brings me happiness? What are my duties to family? My commitments to justice and truth? Have I developed a viable ethical creed? This seminar is for upper division Honors students who want to read, think, act, and talk seriously together about how to live vigorously and joyously throughout their lives. Bringing the arts, humanities, and sciences together in our deliberations, we will each create a personal statement to guide our quest to live with grace, decency, and good effect.
