LING 6025 - L2 Acquisition Theory I

Covers issues central to any comprehensive understanding of second language acquisition (SLA): an overview of SLA research, descriptions of learner language, exploration of external and internal factors, cognitive accounts, individual differences, and instructed SLA. Proposed models of SLA are compared with respect to these central issues. Analysis of inter-language data sets.
