Description
The three great "matters" of Western Literature are the Matter of Britain (King Arthur), the Matter of France (Charlemagne), and the Matter of Rome. Having covered the first two in previous semesters, we will now examine the influence of the rediscovered Classics of Greek and Roman literature on the literature and culture of Europe during and after the Middle Ages.
