RECTH 4330 - Recreational Therapy and Mental Health Services

This class is designed as a lecture and lab experience to introduce students to mental disorders and the practice of recreational therapy in mental health services. The us of the DSM-5 and understanding diagnostic criteria will be a primary focus. Discussion will include understanding diagnosis, etiology, pathology, and prognosis as well as legislation, advocacy and the vital role of recreational therapy in health care and human service delivery.
