Description
This is the fourth of six clinical courses in which students work with a preceptor in an acute health care setting. Students will continue to practice their skills in assessment, diagnoses, including differential diagnoses and medical decision making, laboratory and other diagnostic studies interpretations, development of a comprehensive plan of care, implementation and evaluation of prescribed treatments. The focus of this semester will continue to be surgical, medical, pulmonary and other medical disciplines in the acute and critical care environment. The Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) role within the context of local, state and national levels will also be reviewed.
