Description
This is an introductory course on Microbiology covering major topics in the field with a special emphasis on Medical Microbiology for students pursuing health-related professions. The first half of the course will focus on the structure and function of microorganisms and the application of microorganisms in the human world. The second half of the course will focus on medical microbiology covering bacterial and viral diseases, parasitology, pathogenesis, the immune system, vaccines and epidemiology.
