Description
A content-based EAS course that focuses on integrating language, content, and learning strategies in the acquisition of academic English. The content goals of the course include developing an understanding of how cultures around the world use different mediums as art forms to express and influence cultures. The course will look at multiple art forms each semester and how different cultures use are. Topics vary each semester but include: Paintings, sculpture, photography, music, theater, drawings, architecture, etc. Language development will focus on vocabulary, compare/contrast skills, presentation skills, academic writing, and note taking.
