Description
Sleep has been shown to provide athletes with a "unique competitive advantage," which can lead to extraordinary performances, both on and off the field of competition. In this course, we will review the evidence and use evidence-based techniques to help participants develop their own sleep-based sports improvement strategy. We will train in sleep extension, sleep quality improvement, learning in sleep, and "staying positive." One does not have to be a world class athlete to benefit from sleep interventions, everyone can improve from their starting point. Participants should be aware that a critical part of performance improvement is treating clinical sleep disorders; this course will not take the place of your medical or psychological care or treatment.
