Description
Nutritional Epidemiology introduces students to key concepts and methods in Nutritional Epidemiology in the design, analysis, and critical evaluation of population-based nutrition research. The focus will be on dietary assessment methodology, epidemiological research methods, and analyzing and interpreting nutritional epidemiological data. The course will cover the design and findings from major population-based studies (e.g. cohorts) across the globe, addressing nutritional questions in relation to chronic disease outcomes (cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer) and in the context of aging. Students will be exposed to statistical coding to conduct basic nutritional epidemiological analyses.
