Prerequisites: Graduate status in Nursing OR Instructor Consent.
Description
The second in a series, nurse midwifery and women’s health nurse practitioner students build on beginning skills and knowledge gained in practcicum I. Students apply didactic knowledge and clinical skills in the provision of women’s health care throughout the life span, with an emphasis on normal findings and a beginning ability to identify abnormal findings. Students will develop techniques of assessment, beginning diagnostic reasoning, development and implementation of a plan of care. They work under close supervision of faculty preceptors. This is a credit/no credit course.
