Description
This course provides a critical review of the literature to understand the theoretical basics for evaluating the US health system, to frame a health service research question, and to define meaningful system measures. Students will be introduced to the challenges and future directions of health systems research (HSR), a field primarily interested in evaluating the organization, delivery and financing of health care. Topics include chronic care model, access to care, and IOM quality indicators.
