LAWCE 500 - 001 Basic Mediation Training
This course provides at least 40 hours of basic mediation training in an online format. We will meet every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Zoom for an 8-week period starting February 16th, 2021 and ending on April 7th, 2021. There will also be approximately 1 hour of asynchronous material to complete prior to the class sessions each week, and a final 30 minute meeting with an instructor to occur after April 7th. This course has been qualified by the Utah Court and meets the educational requirement to be listed as a mediator on the Utah Court Roster of Mediators (basic roster). There are other requirements beyond taking this course that must be completed before being a rostered mediator, including 20 practical hours, and completing an online ethical exam. More information about these requirements and how to satisfy them is provided in class.
