Description
This course explores some of the many intersections and inter-dependencies between what we often compartmentalize as "literature" and "law." We will explore "the law" as it appears in "literature" and "literature's" appearance in "the law." Our literary attention will focus on texts from the English Renaissance to the 20th century. This course should appeal to students considering the pursuit of a legal career, and students considering advanced study in literature.
